Whixall Social Centre gets Wi-Fi

As part of a new campaign by the Whixall Social Centre Committee to update facilities at Whixall Social Centre the first step has been to get connected to Wi-Fi.  Due to the location of the Social Centre, mobile phone coverage can be "hit or miss" and the addition of FREE Wi-Fi at the Social Centre will ensure that all can now utilise this service and add to their overall experience when using the Social Centre.

The password for use will be provided when hiring the Social Centre and will also be on display during main Social Centre run events.

The Social Centre did not have a telephone line, so Mark the Outreach Engineer had to connect to the main network from the nearest telephone pole.  This was then extended across and into the Social Centre.  Our internet provider , Sky, had already provided the router and it was a simple case of plug in and turn on.
