Whixall Companion Dog Show

The annual Whixall Companion Dog Show is held each year in June.  The dog show is held outside on the Whixall Social Centre grounds with a main show ring and separate Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme ring.  Local merchandise stalls are situated inside and outside and there will also be a burger stall.  Other refreshments are also be available in the Social Centre main hall. 

The show comprises of Pedigree, Handling and Novelty classes with prizes cards and prizes given to the first 5 in each class.  We are lucky to have sponsorship for each class from a variety of local businesses and firms from Whixall, Whitchurch , Wem and the surrounding area.  Without their generous support we would not be able to put on such a great event.

Our Show Manager, Mrs Elaine Turnbull is a member of the Royal Kennel Club and as such is able to call upon some of the best dog show judges and people within the dog show world to come and judge at our event.  For many it is a great pleasure to come and judge at a local community dog show as this is for many where their dog show careers started off.

Whixall Companion Dog Show aims to be the premier companion dog show in Shropshire.  A local community dog show with big ambitions.  Come and join us - you and your four-legged friends will enjoy the day out.
