VOLUNTEERS from Whixall Social Centre have been supporting residents affected by Storm Arwen.
Residents across the region have been left without power after 90mph winds damaged power lines.
Although SP Energy Networks have restored power to most properties, many residents were left still waiting for the lights to come back on by Monday afternoon.
Whixall Social Centre was opened to provide support to those without power, as place to recharge phones and warm up.
The centre was also visited by Whitchurch's Safer Neighbourhood Team, who praised the community spirit on display.
PCSO Hannah Lister said: "This afternoon I have been along to Whixall Social Centre to drop off some supplies from Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhood Team.
"Volunteers have opened the building to allow those still without power from Storm Arwen on Friday to warm up, charge phones and have a hot drink.
"Some tea, coffee, milk and mince pies is the least we could do. We will be attending Prees later with some goodies too.
"Really nice to see that community spirit is still alive and kicking and we are all looking out for each other."
